Dieser Band hält die Erinnerung wach an Ewald Standop (1921-2018), Professor emeritus für Englische Philologie an der Universität Würzburg. This volume has been assembled to honour the memory of Ewald Standop (1921-2018), emeritus professor of English philology at the University of Würzburg. Some contributions are close to Standop’s special interests, while others open up new fields of research. The volume is structured into five main sections: I. contains, for example, Standop’s biography and his very impressive list of publications; II. deals with Old English; III. with Middle English; IV. with Medievalism, and V. with English today, contrastive studies and other languages.
