Product safety
In accordance with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), we ensure that all our books and publications meet the highest safety standards.
In general, with paper products there is a risk of cuts on paper edges. Products stapled with wire can cause puncture injuries. Printed products may have a slight odor, but this is not a health risk. There are no other known risks posed by our products.
Books (print publications) without supplements or additional functions generally do not pose a risk to the health or safety of consumers and can be used safely and as intended by the manufacturer without instructions and safety information. Therefore, according to Article 9 paragraph 7 of the GPSR, these products are exempt from the obligation to include additional safety information. We consider the risk to be low for publications that were published before this regulation came into force and that do not have any special safety-relevant properties.
We ensure that each book (print publication) is provided with the necessary information for unique identification and traceability. This includes information such as ISBN, circulation count and year of publication. This makes it possible to reliably determine which production a publication comes from.
For books (print publications) without supplements or special functions, no additional safety information is required according to Article 9 paragraph 7 of the GPSR. If a publication contains additions that require special precautions, these will be clearly stated.
